Apricity Gallery is pleased to feature paintings by Mark Yanowsky and Sarah Bianco. These two artists have had a mutual admiration for eachother’s work over the years, and influences can be seen between them within their palettes and use of space.
“In some of these paintings I’m going for a bit of experimentation with subject and have gotten into some dinosaur drawing. I don’t know why exactly…not questioning it. (Maybe I’m the dinosaur? Maybe it’s just whimsy?) Times keep changing, our world makes us fully aware of our mortality and impermanence. My art has always been a contemplation of these themes. I hope this art offers a moment of meditation on these thoughts. For those not so into dinosaurs, I’ve included some of my other seascapes and wood assemblages.
